Love Bomb 2013: Ayten Gasson

 It's that time of the year again, and after last year's successful Love Bomb, we are doing it all again!

The Love Bomb is a celebration of independent lingerie and swimwear designers in the run up to Valentine's Day. Each of the brands taking part in the Love Bomb is run by a handful of people (and in some cases, even one!), standing up against the mega-corporations to bring you innovative, quirky and unique knickers!  

Unlike the big spenders we are in this game for the knickers – like you, we can’t get enough of them! Many a day is spent lusting after other brands’ lacy wonders and structured glories, so we thought what better way to encourage support for indie lingerie than to gather together for a big, sloppy Valentine’s love bomb!

Each day, one independent lingerie brand will be offering a giveaway or competition, while the other 7 brands will be shouting a lot about it! We even put together a sumptuous photoshoot for it, which will accompany the Love In!

One of the most interesting things about the Love Bomb is having an insight into the different ways brands have their items made. All of us strive to purchase the highest quality of materials from around the world, from What Katie Did’s traditional methods to Kriss Soonik’s handmade in Estonia garments.

Ayten Gasson is a brand that is all about supporting the UK fashion industry, using only the best quality of fabrics. Ayten Mustafa is the brains and beauty behind this eco-conscious brand, which launched in 2005. After graduating from Central Saint Martin’s Ayten found that most of the UK factories had been forced to close, thanks to designers searching for cheaper alternatives in Europe and further afield. Choosing to support those still remaining, the brand uses both vintage Nottingham lace and new English lace to trim their delicate silks.

Signature Ayten Gasson styles include the skirted knicker and beautiful silk teddy, and her SS12 collection features stunning nostalgic pieces inspired by vintage penny sweets. Yum!

Lucky Bodysuit 

This definitely looks like one lucky piece of lingerie, it is stunning! I’d love to combine this into an outerwear outfit, allowing the gorgeous lace across the bust to be the focal point of the look.

I love lingerie that makes me feel summery, without being a cliché colour. This cute soft cup bra would make the perfect gift, perhaps for those just developing their love of lingerie!

Sample Sale!

It is that time of the year again! No, not Christmas - you deserve to treat yourself all year round, and nothing feels better than getting a gorgeous piece of lingerie or two, for a bargain!

From the 19th to the 22nd of August our boutique is playing host to a Sample Sale with up to 75% off many of our lingerie collections, and also from our friends at Kiss Me Deadly, Ell&Cee and Ayten Gasson.

We will have sizes ranging from a UK 8 to a UK 18-20, and 32A to 38DD.

The sale will be held on Friday, Sat and Mon, from 11am-7pm, and on Sunday, noon-6pm!

In honour of this momentous event, we will also be hosting our first ever LINGERIE OLYMPIAD on friday the 19th. Who will be crowned the knicker queen? Battle it out in a series of sports, such as thong catapults and pass-the-pants! All topped off with a healthy amount of free drink!
